Overview
This course, designed for second-year undergraduate students in Computer Science specializing in "Information Systems (IS)," is structured to closely follow the program outlined in the LMD training framework for the 2019-2020 academic year at the Abdelhafid Boussouf University Center, Mila. The chapters are organized in perfect alignment with the defined educational content to ensure a coherent and tailored learning experience.
The course is divided into five chapters:
- Chapter 1 defines the characteristics of an organization, the systemic approach to organizations, and information systems, addressing both functional and structural aspects, such as the concepts of station, workstation, flows, and documents. This chapter also introduces flow diagrams.
- Chapter 2 is dedicated to techniques for representing information.
- Chapter 3 deals with the coding of information, explaining its principles, types, and significance in managing information systems.
- Chapter 4 focuses on the conceptual data model, detailing the modeling steps required to structure information within an information system.
- Chapter 5 covers the conceptual model of processes, describing the methods for defining interactions and flows.
