By the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- Master separation techniques in Process Engineering, including distillation, extraction, and mixing operations.
- Understand and apply the fundamental concepts of equipment design and sizing.
- Identify and analyze the main operational issues such as priming, flooding, and other common malfunctions.

Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and transport phenomena; understanding of material and energy balances; and familiarity with engineering software tools (e.g., Excel, MATLAB).
