The current lesson's link will direct you to a rather large book (made entirely up of 338 pages) on ethnography of communication.  I know fully well what you are dreading right now. Nothing daunted, it would stand to reason that I require you to read the book from cover to cover; You are only required to read the second chapter thereof, namely from page 10 up to page 40. as you read try your level best to familiarise yourself with as many key issues discussed in this chapter as you possibly can.
