Course Objectives
- This module is designed to:
  Make students aware of the differences between translation and interpreting.
  Develop students ability to understand and translate literary texts between English and Arabic.
  Help students choose the best technique in translating small literary chunks.
  Identify characteristics of diplomatic language.
  Make students aware of the diplomatic language between English and Arabic.
  Introduce students to sight translation and practice it in translating diplomatic letters.
Pre-requisites
- To be able to properly follow the course of Translation and Interpreting, students are said to have some prior knowledge like:
  Having an intermediate level in both English and Arabic.
  They must know the basic rules of translating between English and Arabic.
  Students must have a good vocabulary and an intermediate level of writing in English and Arabic.
