Sedimentry rocks

Sedimentary rocks originate from the accumulation of sediments that are typically deposited in layers or stacked beds, known as strata. They result from the accumulation of various sediments, meaning solid elements.

We gather under the name of diagenesis all the processes by which deposits resulting from erosion are transformed into sedimentary rocks.
