Course Description

The world we live in is filled with many phenomena that cannot be predicted with certainty. For example, the lifespan of a person, the temperature of the next day, the number of bottles of water consumed per day, etc. 

  Statistics is the science of making decisions in the face of uncertainty. This course will examine the application of statistical tools, based on probability theory, to decision-making in the context of studies in the social sciences and humanities. 

  We will therefore first address the concept of descriptive statistics and then we will discuss the concept of probability,
